We develop an interactive stepper for Hazel, a pure functional programming language environment assigning semantic meaning to incomplete programs. This stepper can pause evaluation of function applications when the argument remains incomplete, to avoid revealing function definitions unnecessarily. And, it provides multiple options for users to choose where to step further.
