ICFP 2021
Sun 22 - Sat 28 August 2021
Fri 27 Aug 2021 00:40 - 00:50 at Erlang - Session 2

Erlang is commonly associated with large-scale distributed systems, typically deployed in data centers or in the cloud. However, Erlang is increasingly finding its way into embedded systems and IoT architectures, where many of the same issues in distributed systems still arise. This lightning talk will provide an overview of the challenges and triumphs of fitting a BEAM implementation onto a cheap, 32-bit microcontroller. Run your BEAMs on a $3 battery-powered computer!
